AWARE Shark Conservation Specialty Course
Get up close and personal with our ocean’s most wanted apex predators – sharks. Swim alongside 12 different shark species, including the endangered Silvertip, Sandbar, and Scalloped Hammerhead sharks in our breath-taking Open Ocean Habitat and Shark Seas Habitat, and discover ongoing conservation efforts for these majestic fish in this day-long programme.

Age Requirement
Participants must be at least 12 years old.

- Classes run from Tuesday to Friday weekly, with a maximum of 4 students.

Course Information
- Course lasts for 8 hours, and includes a morning classroom session followed by a dive in the Shark Seas, then another dive in the Open Ocean Habitat after lunch.
- The course attempts to inform students of the value of sharks to marine ecosystems and economies, to educate them about the causes of declining shark populations, to build an understanding of what is missing in current shark fisheries management, to dispel misperceptions that may block them from taking action, and to inspire them to help sharks by taking action.
Additional Information
- Price includes certification, 2 dives and equipment.
- Participants would require to have a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver certification or equivalent.
- Participants must complete and sign the liability and medical/health declaration forms onsite before diving. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/legal guardian (above 21 years) present onsite to complete and sign the liability and medical/health declaration forms.
- Participants must not engage in air travel within 12 hours after a single dive or within 18 hours after repetitive dives.
Terms and Conditions
- Registrations are only confirmed after full course fees are received.
- Strictly no refunds will be applicable after registration.
- Participants are strongly advised to read the instructions and review the liability and medical/health declaration forms prior to registration. Chronic health conditions, certain medications, and/or recent surgery may require you to get written approval from a physician before diving. For clarification, please contact dive@rwsentosa.com.
- Participants who arrive late may be denied participation.
- Refunds will not be applicable for participants who withdraw or do not turn up for the programme.
- Photography is not permitted on all training grounds, in back-of-house areas and during in-water training.
- Only course participants are permitted within the training grounds and back-of-house area.
- The minimum age for participation is 12 years old. The class date must be on or after the 12th birthday of the participant.
- Classes may be extended, adjusted, or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions.
- Resorts World Sentosa reserves the right to amend or change the terms and conditions without prior notice.
- Resorts World Sentosa reserves the right to cancel or postpone reservations due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Resorts World Sentosa reserves the right to deny participation.
