Behind The Scenes: Aquarist Lab
Here’s your chance to peer into our exciting new support area, the Aquarist Lab. Get an insider’s look at the nursery where hatchlings from our in-house breeding are cared for and learn how plankton is cultured for their food. In addition, visit another support area to observe how we provide specialised care for our animals.

Tours are available in either English or Mandarin at selected timings daily.
Terms & Conditions
- The Behind-the-Scenes: Aquarist Lab Tour is subjected to availability. Tours would be available in English sessions and Mandarin sessions. Participants must have valid S.E.A. Aquarium admission tickets to join the programme.
- Participants must arrive at the designated meeting point located at the Open Ocean Habitat at least 15 minutes before the start of the programme. Failure to comply with this may result in the participant missing certain components of the programme.
- For web purchase, sale of programme will close 1 hour before the commencement of the programme.
- For onsite purchase, sale of programme will close 1 hour before the commencement of the programme.
- The programme is opened to participants aged 4 and above only.
- Participants will follow a predetermined itinerary with their guide, who will showcase the many aspects of husbandry at S.E.A. Aquarium.
- Photography or videography is permitted in the Aquarist Lab, but is not allowed in secondary support areas.
- The Behind-the-Scenes: Aquarist Lab Tour shall proceed as scheduled regardless of weather conditions (i.e. rain or shine) and no rain checks or refunds shall be allowed. Please contact education@rwsentosa.com if any changes are required.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, RWS reserves the right to substitute certain components of the programme.
- RWS reserves the right to amend, delete and/or add to these terms and conditions without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion.
- General terms and conditions, park rules and regulations of S.E.A. Aquarium apply.
Mandatory Safety Requirements
- For access to the support areas, participants are required to wear proper covered footwear, and keep all loose items secured.
- For safety purposes, strollers are not permitted in all support areas.
- Participants on wheelchairs are welcomed as all front-of-house areas at S.E.A. Aquarium are wheelchair accessible. However, please note that select support areas may not be wheelchair friendly due to the presence of stairs, ramps are not available in these specific spaces that were designed for operational needs.
- Participants under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a paying, parent/legal guardian at all times.
- The allowable ratio of supervising adults to children is 1 Adult : 5 Children.
- This program is available for children aged 4 and above.
- However, exceptions can be made for children under 4 who can walk independently and access all support areas.
